Rick passed to be with both his Heavenly Father and his earthly father on November 29th, 2014 at 9:29 p.m. Survived by his two children and their families: Joshua Clements, Valerie Ralston and Vanessa Clements, and Kyla and Julius Mapalad. His ex-wife and best friend, Theresa Mulhern and his mother and brothers also survive Rick: Christine Clements, Charles “Joe” Clements, Donny Clements, and Roger Clements.
He was diagnosed with kidney cancer in 2008 that had metastasized in 2010. At that time his prognosis was 6-9 months. However God had blessed him and extended his life for another 4 years. Rick said, “I’m so thankful God allowed me to have cancer, otherwise, I may have never repented and accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.” Rick dedicated his life to both his family and his church. He had returned to Christianity eight months prior to his passing. He was a member of Mount Calvary Evangelistic Center, and he loved serving the Lord and witnessing to many souls.
Rick was a blessing to many people from work at Rolls Royce to his church to his healthcare teams, and to his family and dear friends. He was loved and respected by all who met him. He was a kind hearted, soft spirited, generous, and loving father, grandfather, brother, son, friend, co-worker, and man of God.
In our sorrow today, we can find comfort in the fact that he no longer has to suffer or struggle. He is free from pain, given a new body by God. He is rejoicing with the Lord in Heaven. We celebrate his life, as it made us all better individuals. He will always be loved and missed by his family and friends.
II Corinthians 5:8 – “To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.”

Rick has had an incredible life journey. What an amazing testimony he had of God’s love, grace and mercy! And to think he’s now seeing the things in Heaven we have all been striving toward….Our prayers are with the family as you move forward that God’s peace will comfort you. Rick and his contagious smile will be sorely missed. Much love to you all. –Bob and Julie Allen.
